Last week, KLUG participated in the fun “Marugoto Market Vol. 2”, held at the Settsu-shi Community Plaza in, as you might have guessed, Settsu-shi, Osaka.
We contributed to the fun by building a Lego town, featuring a running train, monorail, various eating establishments, a working drive-in movie theater, a kaiju attack, plenty of animals and citizens about, time travelers, heroes and villains, and a complete trifecta of Ghostbusting excellence (firehouse, car, and team)!
From the very start we had over 1000 visitors of all ages pouring in with no signs of stopping! What a busy day it was! We at KLUG were all immensely pleased that everyone could enjoy the display and festivities.
The scale of the exhibition was smaller as it was not an event sponsored by KLUG, but this allowed a tighter concentration of effort on a single theme. The collaborative build showcased each of the builder’s talents and styles. It’s possible that our memebers have worked even harder, compared to our last exhibition (Summer Brick Festival) to make the Lego town unique in a short amount of time.
KLUG has another event planned for January 2015 at the Settsu-shi Community Plaza. Stay tuned for more details, and of course, please visit us and enjoy the Lego fun!
We sincerely thank all the staff of the Marugoto Market and those who visited.
