Japan BrickFest “Brick Master 2015 ” building Competition

This year at Japan’s first national Brickfest being held in Kobe Rokko Island on 6th and 7th of June we are planning to hold a  “Japan Brickfest Brick Master 2015 ” build off competition. The competition is sponsored by “Brickjournal”  magazine.

We are looking for competitors!

English Details of the competition are bellow:

There will be 2 categories :

Children : 5 – 12 (Parents must be present during the competition)

Master 13 +

The children category will use Lego(R) bricks provided by KLUG (Kansai Lego User Group)

The Master Category required competitiors to bring 2kg of their own parts. All parts must be 100% seperated prior to the event.Brick seperators are not included in the 2kg weight. Parts will be weighed at the event.

You will not know what the theme for the builds are so we suggest you bring a variety of parts.

Models will be judged on :

Originality, Part use (using parts in unique ways) , Following the theme and Presentation. (competitiors must present their models to the audience after the build time is up)

Competition will involve 20-30  minute heats involving multiple competitors.Theme  will be selected at random and announced prior to each 20 minute round.

Final will be on the 2nd day of the event.

Prizes include:

-Brick Journal Magazine.(Articles are in English)

-Photo and mention in Brick Journal Magazine.(English)

-Lego Set ( donated by KLUG)

– Photo and Introduction page on KLUG’s homepage.

– A Yearly pass which entitles bearer to enter all KLUG events held over the next year.

Children will be able to register at the event until 12pm on the 6th.

Entry ticket is required to enter the competition. Competitors will not be charged for a second admission if they make it through to the final on the 2nd day. Tickets are 350 yen for children and 500 yen for adults.
